Hi, my name is Mathew Basso, I am 11 years old, live on the Mornington Peninsula (VIC) and I have been racing go karts at a state level since I was 7 years old.

I have always loved racing cars and things that go fast, so when my parents bought me an electric go kart for around the house at age 4, I instantly fell in love with the sport.

I now compete at the highest level and love the close racing that racing at this level brings.

When I’m not racing around a track, you’ll often find me playing tennis, riding my bike and helping my Dad in the garage. I also like drawing, listening to music and honing my driving skills on iRacing.

It’s not always about RACING!

A little about the Australian Kart Championship

The SP Tools Australian Kart Championship presented by Castrol EDGE is the premier karting Championship in the Southern Hemisphere.

Contested across five rounds throughout four states of Australia, the Championship attracts the best drivers from all across Australia, New Zealand and Asia to compete for the honor of being crowned Australian Champion in their respective Class.

Throughout a disrupted 2020 season due to COVID restrictions, the Championship was still able to average 276 entries across the eight Classes.

In addition to attracting thousands of spectators to witness the action track side throughout the year, each round of the Championship is streamed live across the internet with views of the broadcast regularly exceeding 40,000 per event.

Meet My Partners

We are always looking to partner with great companies…

Let me start by saying that our proposal is very different to what you may be used to seeing from Athletes looking for sponsorship through product support so it would be great if you could spare 5 minutes to have a look at how we can help your business grow.

Mathew Basso Racing is seeking sponsorship through Product Support and offers a professional and unique sponsorship opportunity for your business to communicate your specific messages to young Australians.

This sponsorship package is exclusive to organisations that share the same attributes as Mathew Basso Racing such as the same geographical area, similar industry and target markets, and not to mention, those who simply wish to assist one of Australia’s next great Motorsport talents.

If you would like to learn more about how we can help promote your brand or business, please use the contact form below so we can personalize a proposal specific to your business and brands requirements.
